Steven Palmer has a claim to fame, but it’s not necessarily one he’s proud of. Really, he’s only recognizable in the Nashville area – and even then, it’s possible nobody’s ever heard of him.
Steven Palmer was the third-string quarterback for the Tennessee Titans. His tenure with the team - 3 years. His official games played - 0.
He was however a great quarterback at local Division II North Tennessee State University, where he was a 2-time All-American. He currently presides as their Athletic Director, spending the last 5 years trying to get NTSU’s football program headed in the right direction. When he’s not at school fulfilling his AD duties, he spends most of his time at a popular Nashville area steakhouse he co-owns with his father Jack.
While Jack might be part owner of the steakhouse, he’s definitely a full time occupier of a bar stool when the steakhouse is open. You could say he’s a permanent fixture there, because well…he hardly ever moves. He even has his own name on the back of his bar stool. And if his mixed drink isn’t full, you can guarantee – he’s going to tell somebody about it.
That’s where his two granddaughters come into play. When Kelsie and Kristen aren’t attending NTSU, and catching the attention of Dad’s football players. They keep the family theme going by working at the steakhouse as a waitress and bartender. But mostly, they’re best at competing with each other. Whether it be for money, attention, or boys – nothing is safe between these two girls. Hopefully Robin the new restaurant manager can stay between them, and keep some sort of peace. But more than likely, she’ll just be pulled into the middle, and will have to duck her head to stay out of the crossfire.
Steven’s not the only former Tennessee Titan to frequent the steakhouse. His best friend Walter Rogers III, better known as Buster – can be seen hitting up the joint. As in every night when he’s not out trying to schmooze some babe. And he’s actually even famous in Nashville, but not for what he did on the field with the Titans. He has a string of car dealerships in the Nashville area. If you think you’ve seen cheesy commercials before, wait until you’ve seen Buster’s – he tops the cake.
If Steven Palmer thinks his days as a professional football player were crazy, he surely knows his current situation could send him straight to the nuthouse. So he deals with it the best he can, because every night he goes to the steakhouse, all everyone wants to do is grab a steak, toss down a few drinks, and SHOOT THE BULL.
